Cultivar
THC is the least interesting thing on the label. Cultivar teaches consumers and budtenders to read cannabis the way a sommelier reads wine.
What a shopper is told vs what's actually working
Same 22% THC, two completely different nights. The terpene and cannabinoid profile is the reason.
Why it exists
The whole category sells one number, and it's the wrong one.
Retail cannabis trained a generation of shoppers to ask for the strongest thing on the shelf. Budtenders got handed the same shorthand, because potency is the only field that fits on a shelf tag. Meanwhile the thing that actually determines how a flower lands, the terpene and minor cannabinoid profile, gets no shelf space and no vocabulary.
Cultivar builds that vocabulary. Consumers get a reference they can use before they buy. Retail teams get a certification path that turns a shift into a skill.
What's in it
Interactive first, then the coursework.
Terpene Explorer
The aromatic compounds cannabis shares with the rest of the plant world, one at a time. Aroma, where else it shows up, and what it tends to do.
Effect Lab
Pick a format, an extraction type, dominant terpenes, and a minor cannabinoid, and read a predicted onset, duration, and character. A teaching model for reasoning about a product rather than guessing from potency.
Strain Library
Search common cultivars, see the terpene and cannabinoid fingerprint, and load any one straight into the Effect Lab. Indica and sativa tell you almost nothing. The profile tells you the rest.
Terroir and minor cannabinoids
Reference sections on the supporting cast beyond THC and CBD, and on how sun, soil, stress, harvest timing, and cure decide where inside its genetic range a plant actually lands.
Curriculum
Two tracks, one free door.
- FoundationsFour lessons that change how someone reads a label. Free forever, for consumers and budtenders alike, no card to start.
- Consumer trackA reference path for people who want to understand what they're buying, unlocked per course or by membership.
- Budtender trackA certification path with a completion certificate, built for retail teams that want their floor staff selling on knowledge instead of potency.
- AuthorshipCurriculum built by a certified Ganjier, which is the professional standard for cannabis assessment.
Why it's here
Education is the only channel cannabis fully owns.
Paid search and paid social are restricted or closed for this category depending on the state and the platform's mood that quarter. Owned education isn't. Cultivar is an audience asset that keeps working when the ad accounts get suspended, and it's the clearest demonstration I have that I can build inside a category rather than just buy media against it.
